Re: SF groaned and moaned to find a mate in 10 on a sparse board.

ahhh.. that makes more sense.. without null move pruning it just cant solve it. Does'n it have nullmove verification search anymore? Dirty solves it: ….. 28 0 5671 102924028 Nxa7 29 0 5682 103098941 Nxa7 29 100011 10573 103400524 Nb6! 29 100010 10642 194952613 Nb6 axb6 a7 b5 a8=B bxc4 Bae4 c3 Bxd3 ...

Re: Is the Blackmar-Diemar Gambit playable?

A minor point:
how many chess engines (book turned off) you know play d4 d5 c4 ??
Phalanx has/had special code for these pawnformations.

Re: Hoziron effect and extensions

Probably best is first to get pruning/reductions to work well or better.So there is more time to search deeper.
Extensions might make it even harder.
Also ,if you did not already limit this,extend a move only once.

Re: CombiChess by Tom Friederich

It uses the python chess.uci.
A glance in combichess.py is enough to see there is no provision for cecp.

For other engines you have to adapt the script

Code: Select all

engineFileNames = ["stockfish5", "komodo8" , "andscacs"]

Re: CLOP export to graphs in Windows

Hi
To reproduce the graphs on a different system,the *.dat file and the corresponding *.clop file are needed.
