Re: Database snapshot

One principle has to be noted that the score of a move provided only makes sense to those of the moves on the very same position. The database handles aggregation of scores on subsequent lines internally and it does not follow mini-max calculation. We know it does not follow mini-max. And Ovyron li...

Re: Database snapshot

Another example but this time I get the score of the max depth less 1 move, if odd, I subtract 1 further, if even that will be it. https://i.imgur.com/4XlsL02.png I want to examine the score of Bb5, d4, Nc3 and Bc4 close to the leaf of best pv by moving each move on the board and record the score of...

Re: Database snapshot

Or try it at https://fsmosca.github.io/ChessDB-Online-Book/ Thanks, working perfectly. Is it possible to show a backsolved (minmax) score that comes from leaf nodes alongside the score shown now? Currently it's very hard to find the PV that the database scores best (say, after 1.e4 the best reply i...

Re: Database snapshot

How was the "winrate" for each position determined? I suspect it is logistic function based on score. The score is from "the scores been back-propagated using a weighted averaging function" see first post of this thread. In javascipt when winrate is missing (by design) for mate scores, I use // 201...

My API endpoint supports HTTPS, so you could just change the base URL and get rid of the unsafe script warnings.
Wow nice it worked thanks.

Re: Database snapshot

Use fen and not epd. If you only have epd, just add "0 1" at the end to make it a fen. Thanks, now it works. This is really cool, I kind of feel like I downloaded some huge database that weighs just 9MB :) Also working on simple html interface, I hope to release it next week. https://i.imgur.com/RO...

Re: Poor performance of Stockfish 10 against Igel 1.8.3 at (shallow) fixed depth=10

Hello everyone, I am trying to hunt down some issues in Igel ( CCRL 40/40 ~2800 elo ) when running games at a very quick time control, and one of my ideas was to measure the "time to depth" in Igel as well as see if I should improve evaluation or search. So I decided to run a few games between Stoc...
