Thanks for this collection ferd. Will check and study this positions now.
The positions from these games are indeed very interesting. A good time to review one's opening repertoire and also see the ideas of each move.

Re: Test set from TCEC15 superfinal between Lc0-Sf

I wonder about the following, if the alternative moves are not as good or better: I am sure there are good alternative to some of those epd's. The test is mainly to see which engines at short movetime would get more hits from some positions in tcec 15 superfinal match. The epd's are from long TC wi...

Re: Poly 1.4

Thanks Ed. Tried F6, but there seems to be a problem, polyglot.bin is empty. Built a book using the ccrl-3400.pgn in the package under pgn dir. Log: C:\poly14>polyglot make-book -pgn pgn\polyglot.pgn -bin books\polyglot.bin -max-ply 100 -min-game 1 PolyGlot 1.5 by Fabien Letouzey (extended format ed...

Re: ACT test set

Like Dann mentioned before as long as there are no spaces in the string the opcode can be used with or without quotes There is an example in the ref., see the following. 16.2.5.15: Opcode "id": position identification The opcode "id" is used to provide a simple identifying label for the indicated p...

Re: ACT test set

From my reading of the standard it is not necessary unless there is a space. This is seen frequently in other tests. Ayway, the analysis file has only one purpose: to show the solution if your engine cannot find it. id requires a string. 16.2.5.15: Opcode "id": position identification The opcode "i...

Re: ACT test set

Probably my extensions. I make up my own fields like cce (computed ce) which is based on actual wins, losses and draws. For personal or so opcode, you can capitalize the first letter, so cce would be Cce. When other programs parsed the epd, it can ignore all opcodes that starts with uppercase. Refe...

Re: Rubichess 1.4

Hi Ferdy. Which GUI do you use? I never saw a GUI / tournamant manager complaining about upper case promotion. Anyway. Should be fixed soon. Andreas I have an api that uses python-chess module. This module does not like about the uppercase promote piece, and I believe the module is correct as per u...
