Thanks for reporting. Promoting to n+b is often seen from minic because KBNvK is declared winning while KQPK or KQBK is just a big material advantage if mate is not found immediately. No worries about that. But not winning the KBNvK is a real issue of course. Today at CCC minic even draw a KRvK. I ...

Thanks for the tournament! It came right in time for testing some new to come tools. Here Minic stranglely could not win from this position and also converted both pawns in the most difficult winning endgame. Lucky Halogen didn't waste any time anymore since being lost and played all moves since mov...

Re: New engine releases & news 2021

I don't quite understand? 1.9 != 1.19 True, I misread the numbers. Still, 1.19 js has 1.18 in it as version (build) number. There were a few changes between 1.18 and 1.19, but this version is not meant for testing, see text (WIP = work in progress). (I will remove 1.19 from the XB/UCI chronology no...

Re: New engine releases & news 2021

- Lozza 1.19 (also all previous versions available now) https://github.com/op12no2/lozza/tree/master/history I'm a bit confused here. In lozza-master the js in subfolder 1.9 is different from the one in the main folder (also, their versions are different). I don't quite understand? 1.9 != 1.19 OTH ...

Re: Installing LucasR

Tried to install this from http://lucaschess.pythonanywhere.com/home but looks like I'm missing other software. Has anyone managed to get this to work and what extra software did you install, thanks. Just by accident I had updated my old version a week ago due to some obscure pgn reading bug (which...

Re: Website engines

BTW will there be any speed difference or other advantages using a newer Node? I just realized I never tried to update Node for at least five years. Hi Guenther, Apologies, I must have been drinking when I replied to this before. Yes the Google V8 Javascript engine that node.js is built around - an...

Hi Guenther, mistakes by myself! I had 7 different 0.60 versions in the download file. But 4 of the seven 0.60 versions are the 0.62 w, x, y, z versions. I changed the name of versions in download directory. Best Frank PS: All the older versions, possible to download with "web.archive", are inside ...
