Re: New engine releases 2020

I have recompiled Stash now at version 8.14 which should fix cpu usage.

FoxSEE is now at release version 2.0.0 (src already at 2.1.1, but unreleased)

If someone is interested, I made also a no popcount compile of current Ethereal 11.94.
Soon 12.00 should come out as an official release though.

Re: New engine: Stash

... Also Guenther, the CPU consuming was due to an incorrect implementation of the wait for the engine to launch, so it should be fixed now :) The multithreading implementation is very doubtful for now, so letting the Threads parameter as is is preferable. I have replaced my compilations with versi...

Re: New engine: Stash

Morgan, I noticed that Stash uses one cpu also in ponder off games, when it is not its turn?
Maybe another windows glitch. Some kind of polling?

BTW I wonder why you have the threads option enabled - is this release really smp? (haven't checked the code)

Re: Stockfish vs. Lc0: IMHO disappointing result for Lc0

5. You ran only 20 games in your first test, which was a lottery for the +1 =15 -4 result... (and you did it again in your new test - 20 games is nothing) Yes, I know. I wanted to just get a general idea of Fat Fritz's strength as compared to Stockfish. For that, 20 games ending in 11-9 for Stockfi...

Re: Andscacs

Hello! Yes, unless I had magically access to hundreds of cpus, I don't plan to continue with it. Or maybe in some years with much more powerful computers, who knows... Many thanks to all for these nice years! Best regards. Well, what a pity. Thanks for all your work and participation, Daniel! I hop...

Re: New engine: Stash

I had tons of conversion type warnings with gcc for a windows compile. Fixed now ^^ I forgot that Windows was having some weird format strings for size types ("%I64u" instead of "%zu") Also thank you for your help bctboi, I am currently testing Null Move Search and it seems to really improve the pe...

Re: New engine: Stash

Hello! Congratulations. I could compile it without any problem under Linux. The code looks very clean and well organized. The engine is nor too weak neither too strong. Exactly the kind of program that I like. :) I had tons of conversion type warnings with gcc for a windows compile. Fixed now ^^ I ...

Re: New engine releases 2020

SeeChess renamed to CeeChess (to remove name ambiguity), and updated to version 1.3 plays around 100 elo better than previous versions, due to tapered eval + new PSQTs (taken from Lyudmil's tables in the PSQT challenge) GitHub: https://github.com/bctboi23/CeeChess/releases/tag/v1.3 Another possible...

Re: New engine: seeChess

To remove the ambiguity of naming (SEE is a little to close to See imo) I renamed the engine to "CeeChess" I added the tapered eval with some new piece square tables (Ludmyil's PSQTs are great!) and got an extra 100 ELO selfplay. @Guenther, would you be able to change the name in the spreadsheet? S...
