Re: Banned From The Dutch Computer Chess Association

[quote="K I Hyams"] I think that the same case could be made if someone sold an engine based on Fruit code, without opening the source. He may have diverted, into his own pocket, money that would otherwise have gone into the pockets of those who didn’t abuse the Fruit licence...................[/quo...

Re: Helping all other UCI engines.

Paranoia from one of the Rybka-Mafia members: By Banned for Life Date 2010-12-05 19:37 It seems unlikely that any other engine will be able to compete head-to-head with the cluster anytime soon, so Rybka will almost certainly be dominant one year from today. What may change is Rybka's position rela...

Re: Houdini 1.03a - Deep Rybka 4 (60 hours for each engine)

How do I post the PGN file to the game? You succeeded already in your previous post. PGN is nothing else than plain text(ascii) following the pgn standard. Guenther P.S. IMHO the adjudication of the game was much too early. Even when best play of both sides might result in a draw the last position ...

Re: Movei00_8_438 vs. Saitek Prisma QR odds

Actually what is surprising is that a number of top engines misevaluate this position. Deep Rybka 4 Crafty 23.0 Stockfish 1.8 Comet B64 Pro Deo 1.6 Naum 4.2 These are ones that evaluate it correctly: Houdini 1.03a Fritz 12 Shredder 11 Zappa Mexico II This is not a missevaluation but a design decisi...

Re: GM Kaufman v. Novag Constellation 3.6 QR Odds Game

I play 40Qe1, which appears to lead to the expected material balance of queen vs. rook and five pawns. I'm back from the US Open now; I tied for sixth place with a 7 out of 9 score. I missed the serious money and the US Championship qualification spot by half a point. Connie always overly concerned...

Re: LittleBlitzer 2.3 Released

I've released a new version you can download at http://kimiensoftware.com/littlethought/littleblitzer.php. LB is designed to make use of multiple cores to run parallel tournaments at super fast time controls. It now supports customised UCI parameters per engine, and using an EPD file to specify sta...

Re: Include Crafty with Winboard package?

Why do you say "pathetic?" I voted "No," but I would think that even if only as little as 20% want it included, that result would be a compelling reason to include it. After all, with 20%, that's an awful lot of people to be ignoring. This shouldn't be considered a majority rules issue. With as man...

Re: Question to the members of the ranking lists..

We took the SSDF ratings list from 24 Nov 2006, chose a basket of 14 engines, then calibrated our rating list to those. Cheers, Graham. you 'cloned' the SSDF results to start a new site? nice! hmm...Nov. 2006? - about the same time Rybka was cloning Fruit! kinda ironic don't you think? as precise a...
