Re: Looking for help on tactics

Hello, I want to train my tactical ability to spot opponent chances in a possition. Doing lot of tactical problems of type "I move and win" has made the habit in me to look only for my chances, and sometimes even If I am strong at solving them, I can blunder becuase of that habit. To fix the bad ha...

Hello Guenther: Does anyone still have this first openly known gull version? BTW was it 0.3 or 0.4 DC? I count fourteen Gull versions older than Gull 1.0 thanks to the WayBack Machine ; the first one is named 001. Unfortunately, none of them can be downloaded anymore. Regards from Spain. Ajedrecist...

Re: Engine release Exacto 0.f

https://github.com/d-sparks/exacto/releases/tag/0.e

This was released in May 2015 and if you download the source from the
release branch it will contain actually Exacto 0.f despite the wrong naming.

Re: Gull chess

Gullchess link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gullchess/ Don't bother trying to browse the source or to fetch the tar ball. They are both empty. But the download zip has the source (a single C++ file) in it. Quite a fast searcher. Here is my build: http://cap.connx.com/chess-engines/new-approach...

Here it is: www.andscacs.com/minnow/minnow.zip The NoraGrace one I will put in his own thread. There have been some source updates. It would be nice if you c...

Re: How to speed up my engine

... Also, excuse my lack of information here (self taught) what do you mean by " but it was not statically linked vs. libstdc++-6.dll at least." It complained about this missing dll. Even when I added manually the right version, it started complaing about more dlls. All those are part of GCC/MingW ...
