Re: MRI - Match Result Inspector

MRI ( M atch R esult I nspector) is a tool to extract valuable information from a PGN engine-engine match provided the PGN output is created by ChessBase, Cutechess or Arena. It's currently in alpha stage (not downloadable yet) and I prefer some feedback for improvements, more ideas before a beta r...

Re: MRI - Match Result Inspector

Great tool! Some things i would like to see: Report: Window for`Drop` (able to find X score drop in Y plies). Show FEN positions in html report (easier to see/copy the FEN). ... The two points above exist already in Toms Game Analyser and it even has a GUI and eval graphs. http://talkchess.com/foru...

Re: Seven years of AB chess engine progress

To make this, I made use of FastGM bullet ratings, which have the best sample sizes of all rating lists along with great consistency in the methodology. I tracked down the release dates of engines in various ways, but the Chess Programming Wiki was a great help. Of course, engines that struggle at ...

Re: Time handicap tournament. LC0 and SF11

Usually, if the same entity plays against itself with time odds and the handicapped 'clone' loses some games, it might indicate bad start positions. This doesn't make any sense, the version with more time plays stronger, it's expected for the one with less time to lose to it. Ofc I wanted to write ...

Re: Time handicap tournament. LC0 and SF11

I'll be running various time handicap matches at different time controls, starting with self-play. Probably limited to LC0 and SF 11. I'll keep the log here. Related to http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73000. Started with: Match: LC0 30s + 1s vs LC0 15s + 0.5s Settings: Default setti...

Re: Greetings and new Eubos chess engine

Hi David, Thanks very much for making me aware of the CCRL website/forum and, by virtue of that, this forum as well. I have really enjoyed all the games that Eubos and ChessChildren have played on Lichess. I think your engine was a major part in getting Eubos to where it is now, it has been a fanta...

Re: BanksiaGUI version 0.11 released

A suggestion for a future improvement: Logarithmic scaling would make the graph look better, if one does late adjudication. Otherwise most part of the graph will look flat, even when the scores were already quite high. I started working on this suggestion. Just have seen some issues: - Logarithmic ...

Re: New engine: seeChess

Hi all! I just got into the hobby of chess engines, and I am finally happy enough with the start of this engine to release it. It is heavily based on Vice by bluefever, but it should play around 2200 ELO. It is written in C, and is UCI compliant. the GitHub link: https://github.com/bctboi23/seeChes...
