Re: Elo difference for a 5 or 6-men syzygy

Other tablebase systems did not deliver any Elo (e.g. Nalimov) result of a long contest was 0 Elo.) The Syzygy tablebase files with 5 men gave 50 Elo. ... I very much doubt this. Do you have a source for this? IMHO in real game play over a sufficient number of games (no cherry picking - no endgame ...

Re: Chess Engines binaries for Raspberry Pi 4 Linux 64 bits

Took a bit but managed to track down source for almost every engine and even added a few. ... Two I couldn't find are Achilles and DiscoCheck 5.2. DC became Demolito and found that but not the 5.2 version. Mind sending me the code for both? Also for Diablo051 is this the correct source that you use...

Re: Polish users cut off from TalkChess

@Guenther, you have a nice crawler over there! I have one friend who can investigate options of putting at least programming part of the forum somewhere, so stay in touch. Haha, I did not assume someone would have linked an external 158GB file to the forum... http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.p...

Re: New engine releases 2020

Haddock seems very weak, maybe around 1000 Elos. Chessier is much stronger, I guess around 1700. Haddock is very slow. Slower and weaker than Vice 1.1. I discarded it since it's a derivative with far less value than the original. Sorry, I mixed Haddock up with Chareth from memory. Haddock is no Vic...

CCW (computer-chess.org) connection problems?

I noticed that the connection to CCW (computer-chess.org) was so slow yesterday that I used a wayback link for collecting some infos. Even today it is not that good as in the past, especially a lot of packet loss on some nodes in the US. Hopefully it won't time out anytime soon. There were no update...
