simply rybka 3 is the best bet. i second m ansari's question though, is it really 16 cores?? even the cc nuts here & @ rybka's forum only have comps w/ 8...

and i believe harvey said that was played on a 520 mhz device, so the new ipod or the 2nd gen touch would be just as fast or faster.

those seem like fantastic results for an amateur engine!

i dont know that a bias towards retaining the bishop pair is a bad thing. (though i realize thats not necessarily what you say the case is)
