i think it is time for a true voice of reason to weigh in on this debate: give it an entirely NEW name, a cool one, & be done with 'glaurung' & 'stockfish', which could not be more ugly. the engine is simply too good to deserve these indignities. i suggest something inditimidating & awesome, like RA...

eelco was posting analysis of his computer engine i think (which found it in 2 seconds) :D

i guess one of those tasc r40s or whatever would find this very quickly

hmm, is this similarly easy w/ arena 2? it doesn't have 'analyze' under the epd menu.

wow. SMP randomness is a funny thing. when i ran the position rybka settled on Qb5 in seconds.

louis - are you able to easily disable hyperthreading on your mac pro? someone asked about that at the rybka forum & essentially was told by lukas it's possible but not really plausible.
