Re: Final Release of Ethereal, V12.75

Hello all. Today I am releasing the final version of Ethereal, version 12.75, and ending development. I'm leaving the Computer Chess Development world Well done, kid. I’ll say to you what was said to me by one person many years ago, not much older than you then. I quit my safe teaching job after fi...

Re: SF 11 vs T60 Lc0

This is what happens in chess.com bullet, when newly upgraded Stockfish 11 meet newly upgraded version of T60 lco ( Kiudee setting). https://ibb.co/GR2Yw1M Note. T60 become officical version of Lc0 , T40 is a history now. 😀 Which network ? 62078 Hi Ted, why this network? Has it been tested to be st...

Re: ShashChess

Thanks Andrea, I'm a big fan of the Petrosian checkbox, it's very scary when I'm analyzing with Stockfish 10 and it gives low eval and it shows the same move after move, while Petrosian shows some +1.60 score and then goes 1.70... 1.80... 1.90 until S10 blows up and agrees it's in trouble, I hadn't...

Komodo 13.1 Android strange mcts bug?

Komodo 13.1 standard works perfect! What a beast! However the mcts version seems very strange. It cannot win a basic endgame?

Re: a crying shame (re: self-learning engines)

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it's quite a bit of a travesty that these new self-learning programs actually do not support live learning! I've recently run a match between the freeware Critter 1.6a, with its session file learning switched on, and the much-vaunted Fat Fritz, a co...

Re: Cstal DOS

Aren't you posting a link to software that is a commercial product , it is not freeware or open source. Just because it is on an abandonware site does not make it legal to share. I do not believe Talkchess supports the sharing of commercial products for free. You should consider removing the link y...

Cstal DOS

For those who have not tried this fantastic old program. It runs perfectly under Dfend.
