Re: Gaviota 3-4-5 Soon available

I downloaded them all from your site. My directory is smaller than 7.1 Gigs though. Am I missing something? My directory listing: 12/22/2009 10:26 PM 6,340 g345.md5 12/22/2009 10:26 PM 7,500 g345.sh1 12/22/2009 10:27 PM 4,937,090 kbbbk.gtb.bz2 12/22/2009 10:30 PM 255,507 kbbk.gtb.bz2 12/22/2009 10:3...

Re: How Long to generate 5 men Tablebases

A question for Miguel:

Do you have new Tablebase generating code ready that creates compressed files?

If this is coming shortly, I'd prefer to wait to generate the bases.

In addition, If I generate the uncompressed files, how much will 7-zip be able to compress them.

Thanks

Re: Pupsi2 0.08 released.

Congratulations. I am using it with my Fritz 11 Interface. I'll report the elostat results in a few weeks. I noticed one thing: When the engine first starts to analyze, something, the reported depth count is unusually low for a while. Then, when it move, the numbers jump up much higher. Hmmm.... th...

Single Core 32 Bit Round Robin

Hardware: Single Core P4 3.0 GHZ 4.0 GIG Of Ram. Interface Rybka Aquarium: G/5 Private Book repeat openings up to move 10 no tablebases. Notes: The Robolito Compile that I am using appears to be stronger than Rybka 3, at least with a single core. This tourney and other results cause my elostat to ra...

Re: How Long to generate 5 men Tablebases

I will shortly have a pc built around an i7-920 with 8 gig of ram. How long will it take to: 1 - Generate Tablebases with tbgen? 2 - Generate Gaviotta's Tablebases with the Built in Tablebase generator? Thanks I think it depends on several factors, but if you dedicate all cores (4) for the task, I ...

Re: Doch 1.2 update (uci) by Don Dailey available

The earlier 32 bit version of Doch is one of the most impressive new engines that I have seen in a while.

Currently in a 19 engine tournament that I am running, it is in 4th place.

Check the Tournaments and Matches forum this evenings for the final crosstable.

What are the posters using to create crosstables

I'm posting the results of a swiss this evening. In viewing the source of a number of posts here, and I see that the crosstables are formatted as html for neatness. I know how to use Fritz to paste a crosstable as text, but I don't want to have to take the time to neatly format it, or hand code html...

Re: Posting Tournament results with some clones playing

Is it against policy, or frowned upon to post tournament results where clones, or alleged clones are some of the engines participating? Nobody seems to have batted an eyelid previously, so you're probably okay. If you want to be absolutely sure, send a pm to one of the mods. Cheers, Graham. Thanks,...
