Posting Tournament results with some clones playing

Is it against policy, or frowned upon to post tournament results where clones, or alleged clones are some of the engines participating?

Re: What's The Most I can do with This Server

I dusted of an old Penguin Relion Server, with the intention of using it for Chess work and maybe some file storage. I tried to Load XP 64 bit, but was greeted with the message that the cpu will not support a 64 bit OS. The Chip is an Intel Xeon 2.4 GHZ. It has 2 Gif Of Ram. I was running Red Hat L...

Tool for Creating Opening Books

Is there a program that I can use to make opening books from a *.pgn database. Something that would choose moves based on the winning percentages.

Diff Between Windows 7 OEM System Builders and Retail Box

I hope this is not too much off topic: I am building a pc. I can purchase Windows 7 64 Bit OEM For Systems Builders for less than $150.00. Windows 7 64 Bit Retail Box is between $250.00 and $300.00. I don't need a manual. I don't need support from Microsoft. Is there any reason to not purchase the c...

Elostat recommended start elo

It appears that if I use a recommended 2400 start elo, the results are very close to the Fritz 11 Rating feature.

Is this universally accepted as a norm by testers?

Re: Pupsi2 0.08 released.

Congratulations.

I am using it with my Fritz 11 Interface. I'll report the elostat results in a few weeks.

I noticed one thing: When the engine first starts to analyze, something, the reported depth count is unusually low for a while. Then, when it move, the numbers jump up much higher.

Re: Can we learn anything from PGO compiled executables?

This is interesting: What if I have a condition that is only met if there are more than 2 queens on the board. This happens rarely. What if profiling the compile, I gave then engine 100 test positions with 4 queens on the board. Would the compiled code assume that the condition were met initially, a...
