Re: Rybka Rental program is a nonsense.

Mr. Rajlich has obfuscated (if that's the right word) his nps count for regular Rybka in the past, so how can we assume it's correct now? I don't know how much Mr. Rajlich wants per-hour for the use of a cluster, but I can't imagine it being worthwhile even to a grandmaster. I suppose that he has a...

"A monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare." You believe that? Do the math! They wouldn't even be able to reproduce your posting. By the time it was statisti...

Re: A Very Novel Idea Concerning Vas- BE FAIR

When you have someone's character in question to the point it can affect the man's living, be fair at least. I would propose a statute of limitations on how long he can be drug thru the court of public opinion. No matter your side in this, surely one would think, yea or nay- at least give him the s...

Re: Rybka Cluster testing?

I seem to recall there was some uncertainty regarding how to most effectively/accurately test the Rybka Cluster for the various rating lists. Now that it's here, have there been any decisions about how, or even if, people will be testing it? Thanks, Justin Which engine will the cluster use ? Rybka ...

Re: Whether Chessbase Will Sell Houdini In 2011?

As long as Robert lets them, I'd say it would be a good decision for them. Peter I hope he won't, but he said that going commercial is an option. I really would appreciate if he won't. Kai Why is that? I do not want to see Co. & G.Banks defending Robert in the future, or being banned for not using ...

Re: The List is Growing

Contrition for what? Reconcilliation for what? I think Graham has been consistent and always explained with great patience the policy of the CCRL clearly, and his thanks are a lot of insults from people who are "lurking" here or there. Thank you very much. I hope the CCRL keeps doing what it has do...

Re: Requirements to be tested (suggestions)

Yeah, I agree that that could definitely be considered a mitigating circumstance. Let's just hope WinBoard doesn't get a bad name because of this. Btw, it is not people that actually do testing that is the worst crowd. I guess they are too busy to misbehave. It s the people that incessantly whine a...

Re: Requirements to be tested (suggestions)

Well, if I were a CCRL member, I would _never_ test Houdini, no matter what the legal status of it turned out to be. Simply for the reason that most Houdini users present themselves here as a bunch of indecent, demanding bullies, that think they have the right to tell others what to do, and insult ...
