Re: Mythbuster continued ...but Komodo comes back

I think they are MP testing ;-) No, Don is running his 6 sec/12 sec/24 sec/48 sec... test matches to prove scientifically that Komodo 4 overtakes Houdini at long time control. Robert Ok, I know my test is statistically insufficiant, but after the games that have been played I'm strongly unde...

Re: DEEP RYBKA 5-release date?

sorry. i don't think your "dream" will come true. IMO there will be no rybka5, or at least no rybka 5 beeing competitive again. Why not? Vas says he is working on Rybka 5. Do you think he is lying? If he wanted to resign from computer chess, he could have told us so. Why lying and pretending he's s...

Re: Mythbuster continued ...Houdini likes it French way

Hi Timo, After 38 games, and two nice last wins with French opening, the LTC results between Komodo4 and Houdini2.0C in your Clash of the Titans are pretty the same as in the 100 games match between both, on Blitz level (5min 5 sec, of ATOMICC chess by Brent M http://atomicc-testing.blogspot.com/20...

Re: Clash of the Titans

Hi Jouni,

you're right - that draw was accepted far too early. For the next match series I will configure the "draw button" (in the Fritz GUI options) to "late" instead of "early".

Best regards

Re: Clash of the Titans

You are welcome, John! There are indeed some very interesting games going on in the tests. Ok, the draw rate is high, but that was expected when 5 engines of nearly the same strength are playing each other. Let's see if Houdini will manage to break away...

Re: New Vitruvius Engine vs. Chiron 1.1a 32bit

Hi George,

thanks for posting the results. Indeed that was an impressive victory for Vitruvius. Chiron is a very strong engine, so it's very difficult to win 31 times in 50 games against it.

Looking forward to more tests!

Stay tuned and best regards

Re: Mythbuster continued ...but Komodo comes back

Hi Bram, Komodo strikes back! In a very interesting game with unbalanced material it managed to win with black against Houdini. In the beginning, Houdini made some strange moves (loss of tempo like Rh3 and shortly after Rh1 again). In this position, Komodo decides to give his queen and a pawn for tw...

Re: A First Glance At the New Vitruvius Engine!!

Hi George,

neither my post was meant as an offense of any kind nor did I want to insult your ablitities. I guess I just understood your post the wrong way.

So, please continue your good work! And of course I can't wait to see more results / games of your Vitruvius testing!

Best regards

Re: A First Glance At the New Vitruvius Engine!!

Hi Roberto, thanks for sharing the information and games. If you have more results (e.g. against other engines) please share them also with us. I think there are some people who are really interested in Vitruvius (including me) and are thinking about buying. But more information is needed, e.g. when...
