Re: Firebird holds his superiority at longer timecontrol

Now after 8 draws a nice win for Firebird in a complicated Grunfeld.
Standings after 37 of the 50 games in Nunn2 at long timecontrol: Firebird leads +9 = 23 -5

Re: 18th Amateur Series Division 4

Dear Graham,

what is the reason for you not testing Firebird 1.0 (or any other IP/Rob/Ig) version for th CCRL ?
I really find this disappointing, because I expect it to be the new leader.

Firebird holds his superiority at longer timecontrol

Firebird 1.0 – Rybka 3 , Firebird holds his superiority at longer timecontrols in serie of Nunn2 testmatches The ELO difference between the different engines and Rybka, tested on CCRL and CEGT, at short (40/4) and longer (40/20 an 40/120) timecontrols, are pretty consistent. Which indicates that whe...

Re: My 1st ranking for Robbo 0.9 x64

here you can find my first ranking for Robbolito 0.9 x64 --> THE THING :D www.compchess.de i would not argue with this,it is at much longer time controls when Rybka catches up. Do you have evidence for this catching up ? Sofar in my Nunn2 testmatch running now on longer timecontrol 40/40, 40/20,/20...

Re: First experience with Igorrit

I ran yet a Nunn2 test at 40/40,40/20 sofar more equal games and stil one decisive win by... Firebird, but we will see. Btw I found an interesting post on a test of Firebird on the CSS forum by Stefan Pohl, who has also opinions on this matter, with which I very much agree. http://forum.computerscha...

Re: First experience with Igorrit

...... My suspicion is that Robbolito has merely tweaked various parameters (and omitted eval terms) to perform better at blitz at the expense of results at slower time controls. It's premature to say that Robbolito (or its kin) is an actual improvement over Rybka at serious levels. Please play tes...

Re: Firebird 1.0 beta vs Rybka 3, 15+10

And yet at longer time control an even better performance: Compaq 6710b, Blitz 25m, Nunn2 Test Match T8300 2100 Mhz, 64 Mb Hash 1 FireBird 1.0 beta w32 +16/=28/-6 60.00% 30.0/50 2 Rybka 3 32-bit +6/=28/-16 40.00% 20.0/50 I am convinced, we have a new leader in these chain of Ip/Rob/Ig/Iv/ namely Fir...

Re: CEGT - rating lists January 17th 2010

I respect your moral standards. But then why do you test Toga and many others ? Their clones in a certain or clear way also.
And it stil has not been proven that "they" are clones.
