Re: Houdini in IDeA

I'm retesting. It used to be that the remote server was enough to set # threads and aquarium could be ignored. I noticed that with the new Aquarium and new remote servers you don't have an option to ignore your local Aquarium and only go by remote settings. So my current test is to specify both with...

Re: Houdini in IDeA

Robert,

IDeA in your local machine works flawlessly assigning one core to each instance of Houdini 1.5
It's the remote versions of Houdini where I have found troubles, i.e. using the remote RTServers to communicate the remote engines with your local Aquarium.

Re: Houdini in IDeA

Has Anybody tried to use it? How it works? Any bugs detected? BTW, Robert. Could you please compile Houdini 1.5 1CPU ... In my remote systems (i7-920 64bit and AMD Opteron 856x4 32 bit) Houdini 1.5 has troubles limiting itself to one core despite my RTserver settings. Two cores usually overtake mor...

Re: Excerpts from the speech of Mr.Rajlich to e-chess player

Houdini, Stockfish, Critter, Spark, Komodo and Crafty are examples that commercial engines are not indispensable nowadays. I personally do not have any problems with any commercial enterprise. Furthermore I would rent the rybka cluster if someone tested it and demonstrated it's the best option avail...

Re: Regarding Aquarium 4

Aquarium 4 is the best interface available for game analysis: IDeA, ability to create and modify master trees, interaction with PGN's and IDeA, best infinite analysis with features that interact with your trees as mentioned by Kostas and many more for the expert users (scripts).

I think anonymity speaks more about character or personality flaws rather than credibility. or professionalism.

It seems like you are the one mixing up cause and effect.
Was code stolen from Fruit? Was code stolen from Rybka?
Those are the questions and not the quality of the consequences.

Re: TEST position TCEC5- Houdini 1.03a-DRybka4 1-0

It's apparent to me that if Mr. Rajlich were to bring a lawsuit against the clones, he would need to ...identify who he was suing. it's a venture that Mr. Rajlich undoubtedly sees as hopeless. Add all of this up, and it's a useless venture to try to bring litigation. I personally believe that he ha...
