Re: which is more realistic in human terms, ccrl or cegt?

I think on average even the CCRL ratings are a little deflated in the 2100-2400 range, which makes CEGT too deflated. I know some strong players that have opined that Romichess, for example, is FIDE master stength, at least - especially with learning enabled. You could try it on for size yourself, ...

Re: which is more realistic in human terms, ccrl or cegt?

What we are missing? That a big part of what makes these engines highly rated is that they're really good at exploiting weaker engines' weaknesses, but this doesn't help against humans. So someone like Wael comes along without those weaknesses and outperforms them. Style is more important than stre...

Re: Lc0 will hardly ever win TCEC or CCCC?

Plus there is another aspect. New CPUs will be having more and more support for vector INT8 and BFLOAT16 multiplication operations. So running things on GPUs is not gonna make advantage. I think your analysis is pretty interesting, but there is something to think about with this last part. The AMD ...

Re: which is more realistic in human terms, ccrl or cegt?

At the top, the ratings are about synchronized at the top (3500 for SF 11 4 CPUs). But the more you go down in the list, the bigger the difference is. And to compare with human, I'm taking the example of Fritz who played a lot of games at highest level. Kramnik vs Deep Fritz, Bahrain, October 2002 ...

Not sure what you mean by 'already annotated'. Is that still PGN format? WinBoard / XBoard should allow you to annotate any game it can load with score/depth info.
Indeed the question is not clear ....

Re: Where can I download Gosu 0.16 ?

Thanks again Carl as it works like a charm now....

It crashed the first time I loaded it as I gave it 2048 Mb hash table ....

Gosu can't handle more than 512 Mb unfortunately ....

Cheers,

Re: Where can I download Gosu 0.16 ?

To Dr. Deeb, Please make sure you have all the extra files, especially the data subfolder, or Gosu will play random moves. I know 'cos it happened to me. Hi Carl, Thanks for the hint .... I already have the data subfolder but what other extra files do you mean ? I didn't manage to install it...
