What line are you suggesting?  I assume that if there was a win here, one of the enginges would have seen it and used the move.

1. Kc7 Kb2! 2. Rb5 Kc3
If white plays Rxa5 here it is tablebase win for black.
3. Kb7 Qe6 4. Kc7 Qxb3!

Critter session file is awesome

I played a little with critter session file. I enabled resolve score drops (was recommended somewhere). For initial test I started with obviously lost position in which score drops every ply. There are many moves each move loses almost equally fast. When restarting engine SF does not appear to chang...

Re: Best way to improve one's tactical ability (from 1500-18

Play against strong engine, lose in 15 moves, analazy the game. After playing several games against Droidfish I got better at not leaving unprotected pieces in the middle of nowhere.

Re: Chess for Android v3.1.1: Setup Position

Thanks Jim! Michael, I am sorry, but Chess for Android currently only supports fixed-time-per-move settings. Adding more general time controls has been on my to-do list of a long while, but each time other feature requests took precedence. And there are only so many free weekends in a year for me :...

Re: Chess for Android v3.1.1: Setup Position

How do I play against computer with Fischer time controls? I see how to change time per move but can't figure out how to change starting time.

Re: Crazy Position vs GM Georg Meier

Qe5+ is difficult to spot over the board, the discovered attack on unprotected rook on a2 is far from obvious.
