Hey all! First off, thank you to everyone who has taken an interest in the CCCC. We're doing our best to create a new kind of chess event and make it awesome for fans of computer chess. Best Engine for Game Analysis and Annotation?

Are there engines that can provide more NAGs or helpful output when analyzing games (other than just moves, score evaluations, and key lines)? I'm just looking to get the best game analyzer possible - not t...

Trying to get RANDOM Opening Moves in GNUChess Book.dat...

The challenge: - get MAXIMUM amount of random play from gnuchess - want opening book to be only 6-10 ply deep - need book.dat to be under 20kb I know - it sounds really difficult :) I have something close now, but gnuchess is not using the full variety of the book.dat file. For example, if "book on"...

Re: Help Create Tiny Opening Book for GNUchess (to vary play

i see. that's probably not worth the time then. hmmm.

did you use polyglot to create the tiny books, or the gnuchess "book add" ?

also, do you know how to use the "random" option? do we use that when making the book, or when starting the engine?

thanks!!
