Re: Salary

How much are you willing pay me, Henk? For the right price, I can look the other way when you make off-topic posts. I am a lame duck moderator, so I am willing to do about anything if someone will pay me enough ;) Yes, and I ransom Adam 70% of what he makes, so go on. Here's a tricky question, now....

Re: In support of the IvanHoe authors

Izak- i have made no accusations, not have i flamed anyone...please reread my posts and i think you find my manner respectful and polite the point of this topic was to express my support for the Ippolit authors ...they are the original authors of IvanHoe and all of it's many derivatives (including ...

Re: Please Be Aware A Ziggurat 0.22 Gauntlet Has ENDED!!

It ended about the same time it started. Ziggurat against 5 other engines @ 40/3 repeating. I clicked "start" and took one of my dogs outside to the bathroom, came back in a couple minutes later and stopped it just to check. Strange that 7 games had already been played. And Ziggurat had 7 losses. I ...

Please Be Aware A Ziggurat 0.22 Gauntlet Has Begun!

I have begun a Ziggurat 0.22 Gauntlet involving 5 engine opponents- 30 games each Alphabetically, they are: Clueless 1.4 Matheus 2.3 Maverick 0.2 Rhetoric 0.10.d Surprise 4.3b13 Notice these are the closest together I could get. Rhetoric 1.0 was 300 or so elo stronger than 0.10.d. I know about most ...

Re: Houdini not using the right number of threads

Has anyone had this issue ? I've tried Houdini in both ChessGUI and Shredder GUI, with UCI parameters set to Threads=4. Yet, Houdini only uses three cores (50% of my 6-core AMD box). Really bizarre. I've checked that it is registered properly, and it is. This is from move 1, not an endgame position...

Re: Hiarcs wins 3rd World Chess Software Championship

Anybody has the right to call something a World Championship. The ICGA is just one that does it. Just because it has been doing it for several years or is affiliated to FIDE does not make it "Official", or any more worthy than anyone else. I would be embarrassed if anyone knew I was affiliated with...
