Seems it not works if cookies are not allowed. Thats a bad thing for all people using no cookies.

Cant you find a workaround in such cases, like default to "medium" if there is no cookie?

Re: Houdini is getting some wider press. Congratulations!

Fascinating, and an incredible blunder by ChessDom. It isn't to besmirch Houdini BTW, as that is not the problem. It is the fact they are promoting a small private computer chess tournament, with no official recognition, on their front page as the main article, after only three rounds, which is the...

Re: Arena future development.../Proposals ?

Hi 1st: Thank for al hard work!! I would like to have the possibility to enter moves using a mic. Some sort of speech recognition. If that is not possible, maybe you can add TrackIR or FreeTrack support. This will allow to move the pointer with your head (and a cap). Still is hard to "click", so you...

Re: Stockfish 2.0.1 JA Maintenance release available

Stockfish hello to the team! I am really surprised how programs with the fantastic quality of Stockfish, Houdini, Critter, among others, are free, and their developers fix any bugs yet with incredible speed. While the paid programs and expensive (Rybka 3, 4, etc.) that make their Buyers like idiots...

Re: How Long to generate 5 men Tablebases

Or you say to compress it with 7zip in order to make the whole set of 3,4,5 to fit inside a DVD for example? And then decompress it with 7zip to take the 6.5 GB 3,4,5 compressed set and so engines to be able to use it? I think this is the reason. Im even interested in and done some small test with ...

Re: CEGT/CCRL and the "forbidden" engines.

CCRL is "for me" useless. So biased that hurts my eyes if i load that page. One of the last things i saw was something like "Rybka 4 64-bit TC3100150 4CPU" So much tuning rybka to make it at the top.. LMAO Big whoop, they changed two UCI parameters to do with time handling. You make it sound like t...
