Re: Berlin Defense
Here are my analyzed positions relating to the philidor: ;
ok, also looked at my main ChessPrntr book (with line backsolving mostly from K10 evals) and Philidor indeed has something around 0.28. But Berlin much lower; so this is an example that the SF eval not always acc...

Re: Berlin Defense

0.29 is drawish probably, if it's only a position analyzed from scratch (at Rd1); Henk could have a look at the latest Brainfish result, but indeed the Berlin is drawish; i'm currently in a correspondence game against a >2400 guy but have no problem in a game where he did *not* play Rd1, and as res...

Re: Computer Chess of the Year 2050

for example that programmers find that with 1.e4 e5 their program get 100% draws when with 1.e4 c5 they only get 98% draws and in this case the practical choice in games against slightly stronger opponent(not TCEC) may be 1.e4 e5. It may be interesting to have some automatic program that build book...

Re: A Question about Crafty

Not sure what you mean by "time divided by 100..." was commented out? That sounds like it would break things. well it's simply a line in this 'pipe' coding see excerpt below; above the ------------------------------------------ [ Move = ""; sscanf(p, "%s %lf %lf %s %s", s1, &s2, &s3, s4,s5); Depth ...

Re: A Question about Crafty

Can you post your crafty.rc or .craftyrc file? Options have certainly changed... ok, i think i solved it, in the code was also a 'noise' statement, and apparently this now is in seconds instead of (m)nodes.. (and the previous value of noise was *way* to high, so only thing displayed was 'feature' j...

Can you post your crafty.rc or .craftyrc file? Options have certainly changed... ok, yes i suspected also it might have something to do with the .rc file, maybe there's now a new .rc option to show more under the 'time' heading ? Because upon further inspection i noticed a difference in the 25.x ou...
