Re: Cfish 8 121516 for the macOS

Michael,

The Stockfish code has skill levels implemented, it's done by randomly selecting a move from multi-pv. The code is not available in Cfish because Ronald didn't port it. Search "#if 0" in search.c, and you will see it. Maybe you can help him?

Re: Cfish 8 121516 for the macOS

Thanks for the update. But in your code, you can just do:

2^((x-1200)/100) * 64

where x is the rating you want. The code you have lead to floating errors.

I also have a Xiaomi device, and it was the best given how much I paid. The other one I had from Samsung similar priced, could barely move.

Re: Help for Syzygy probe?

Thanks to Basil and Greg. I understand I have incomplete database files, in fact I don't have any 5-men file. I was curious why two different programs, giving the same physical path and FEN would return different results. I am using the Fathom tool. I compiled your code in the apps directory. I only...

Re: Help for Syzygy probe?

-2 is correct because the position is lost for the player to move. The Python package was correct to return the value. However, when I gave the same path and FEN to Fathom, it failed to return WDL. My suspicion is that there is a bug in the fathom code, but not 100% sure. That's why I posted here. ...

Re: Help for Syzygy probe?

However, the Fathom code failed to find anything. What do you mean by "failed to find anything"? If it returns a draw, there might be a bug in the Fathom code. If it returns something like a "probe failed" result, then some table seems to be missing or a path seems to be wrong. (Or it still is a bu...

Re: Human vs Engine Top Crazyhouse match !

I was following the match. It was not a fair match, because Justin was talking throughout the match. You need a match where he just plays.
