Ted The latest version doesn't work with a USB board. You can make your first move on the board and it is replayed on the iPad but Stockfish doesn't respond, in fact the app freezes. GPU won't work well with chess programming because each GPU kernel thread is designed to run floating instructions in a serial way, ideally without a loop and branching. Obviously, this is not the case for chess.
