Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

Development of opening theory continues, and in this Cerebellum tool there also will be no possibility (in GUI) to edit/add book moves; normally you can add in ChessPartner a GUI book which you can edit/adapt , and play with engine book combined (not sure how this is done precisely, but it seems to...

I had some problems making a good 32-bit compile (also with stockfish itself), because of some strange compiler problems. As soon as it works I will put the 32-bit exe on the Website.

Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

Don't listen to them, Thomas, they are all envious of your excellent work. When do you plan to go commercial ? Waiting eagerly... Thanks, I think it is not possible before November because some work is still to do to make everything user friendly and bug free. Because a longer beta test seems to ma...

Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

hello ,great engine.how do you set up the "book path"folder? and how do you use it? thank you :) Usually you have to configure BookPath in the Engine setup of your GUI, where all parameters of your UCI Engine are displayed. There you have to enter the exact path and name of the book file Cerebellum...

Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

Would your tool also work for making min-Shogi books? From what I read about mini-.Shogi, the Algorithm would work, if you have a score for every position you want to include. Of course there is no move generator which can be simply included, so it would mean some work to do that. Don't listen to t...

Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

To me it doesn't make sence to NOT open the source (access code) as someone who wants to sell a book or a "method to make a book" wants engines to access it, right? But if they realeasse a free SF with that access possibility it has to be GPL again ... We will see at the end how it turns out :-) Hi...

Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

How we must modify my.res I ask? Use a hex editor? No! The programer have to do answer how he do modify himself! Then user can do same way. That is the open source. Same origin same right. I'm tired to explain that I cannot modify the binary resource myself, it is created in one part like a raytrac...

Re: Brainfish, a new concept of a chess engine

Do you have an estimate on the release date of this product, and the price? If you're looking for beta testers I would be interested, I have a 12 core Xeon with Windows 7. Thanks for the offer, that should be possible, I will inform you before release. I estimate the release date not before late No...

It's on the way. Just a little patience, perhaps on the weekend.
