Re: Live broadcast of engine pv

All right, now I see how it works, I thougth that it sends the match info from your pc to the web, but it just send the png file from Arena via FTP One of the options it's what Ed Schroder said, watch the arena.debug file, you can build an API like: http://www.chess.x10host.com/api/send/info/{INFO} ...

Re: Live broadcast of engine pv

I'm learning node.js right now so, to work with real-time update you can try node.js that has websocket, but most of the free shared hosting does not offer node.js, so you can register on https://www.heroku.com that offer node.js for free with (I think) 300MB disk space, the only problem is that you...

Re: RuyDos publicly available

Cool! Another engine to fight :D

I would recommend to change in engine.cpp the condition to see if the move it's not legal to:

Code: Select all

if (board.is_king_exposed()) {
    continue;
}

// PVS here...
Also avoid the use of goto

Re: horrid positional play in a solid tactical searcher

Can you quantify in millipawns? Between 5 and 40 centipawns. It depends also on what you want to emphasise to what extent. Don't attribute too much or the engine will start to sacrifice material. You also need some equilibrium between these factors. But all of that depends also on what other factor...
