I felt incomplete and weird without TalkChess.

I just tried the original link, and it worked for me. Perhaps it has already been fixed, or it was a temporary glitch of some kind.

FairyMax is a single core Xboard/Winboard engine, and does not support ponder, so if there is excessive CPU usage, it would be for a different reason than pondering. The code shows that FairyMax explicitly ignores both the easy and hard commands.

There were two different releases of 1.6, the original and a fix version. I sent a link containing both versions via private message, in case you have the older, non bugfixed version.

It looks similar in concept to internal iterative deepening to me. Am I missing a subtlety here?
