Re: Alice, Bullucks and Numpty chess engines

Bullucks is from the same guy that wrote CPP1 and POS. AFAIK, it's around the same level as those two engines, not strong. There doesn't seem to be a Windows executable for Bullucks on the home page, though, I only see Linux, Mac and ARM processor binaries.

Re: Tony's noplay list update 28

Shouldn't Tony's Chess be on your no play list as well? It's not known as a program that plays nice with others.

Re: Help with the new engine Shatranj

It was a pain in the ass, but I got it working in Arena without the need for a batch file. What I did was: - ran the installer for Python 2.5.2 (python-2.5.2.msi) and installed it in the default location, C:\Python25 - installed psyco-1.6.win32-py25.exe in the default location - Added a winboard eng...

Re: Delfi Trainer 5.4 is now out

I forgot about the adjustable elo part..Deep Sjeng used to have that feature, but according to the program I was rated around 1300, but I cant even defeat Josh at age 6 from Chessmaster (he did lose on time once when I had a superior position)..I think it might be a good idea to support a programme...

Re: Delfi Trainer 5.4 is now out

I agree, but I see a loop in the commercial venture..Why give away the similar version without the GUI for free? The only difference in engines if I recall correctly is a slight speed advantage for the commercial version due to the use of a better compiler. I am not sure if you have ever noticed, b...

If you are a registered user, did you receive a download link or engine by email? Thank you for any information. Yes, I did ... Download link via Email It's not a bad deal, the web page says 2 years of free updates. I don't know if there's a current commercial engine that's more inexpensive, now th...
