Is there a version 2.13 of The Lightning? The latest version I have, and the latest announced version at WBEC, is 2.0.4.
If you could PM me your address, I can send you EvilKnightIII, SilkeChess and The Lightning 2.0.4.

Re: Twisted Logic 20100131x
Thank you Edsel. I tried it, and it did the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much, the x64 version is the preferred one for this platform anyway.

Re: Twisted Logic 20100131x
I thought it might have been a dependency issue at first, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The only dependency the 32 bit version has is the standard system file KERNEL32.DLL. Two other symptoms. The 64 bit version creates 3 text files for logging purposes (dumpfile.txt, errfile.txt, logfile.tx...

Re: Twisted Logic 20100131x
I'm having trouble running the 32 bit version of Twisted under my 64 bit version of Windows 7. It will execute, but does not generate output nor accept input. The 64 bit version works fine, and funnily enough the 32 bit version works fine on my 32 bit XP machine. My 64 bit machine is a T4300 based m...

Re: Why Bother With Human vs. Human Tournaments??
If we go by that line of thinking, then we may as well abandon all sprinting competitions, since automobiles and horses are faster than people. It's the thrill of human competition, complete with human error, that makes human played chess interesting. Plus, us meatbags can still come up with some wo...

New UCI engine - CuckooChess
This engine is a Java based program, written by Peter Osterlund. I believe he is Swedish, but I am not 100% sure about that. The home page of the engine (and also an applet) is:

Re: What is this ?
But since i learned that probably Toby is the name of the son of Chris Whittington and since we remember Thorsten saying something new(and good) is coming up for CSTal, a complete rewrite to bitboards, then this might be legitimate!! According to the web site's About Us page: "TobyChess started as ...

Re: Can't get old Fritz Engines Recognized in Fritz 11
I am not 100% sure, but I think these are not supported anymore because they are 16 bit engines (from the Windows 3.11 era). 32 bit versions should work. I had initially accepted your answer, but am hoping that there is a way around this. On my 32 Bit Windows XP System, Fritz 3, 4 and 5 all work, i...

Re: Hamsters 0.7.1
Hi Miguel. Unfortunately, when "creating" a UCI engine in a Chessbase GUI, the GUI seems to only accept files with a .exe extension. When one creates a UCI engine in Chessbase, a text file with the extension .uci is created, with the engine settings. Even manually editing this file to include comman...
