Re: NNUE variation

Okay, new results. http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-100ms.html http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-250ms.html http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-500ms.html http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-1000ms.html 1. The Minic 2.48_nascent_nutrient net hardly made a difference, same constant similarity. 2. Giving Minic 2.48 the official...

Re: Re-activation Programmer Code of Honor

Hmm, so I realize that clause 2. is already a matter of the signers interpretation, so adding another clause like "I obey to given civil and criminal law and won't steal private code or use stolen code for any analysis." is pretty pointless, right? Ed, Andrew? Code of Honor? Maybe start with some m...

Re: NNUE variation

^ At 1000 ms, Minic's correlations are <=48.28%, whereas between any pair of other engines, they're >=54.77%. If I didn't know which engine had a net trained on a different dataset, I'd easily guess it from the table. (Sorry for the edit, I was looking at the 500 ms table initially; there, Minic <=...

Re: NNUE variation

Added 1000ms and 2000ms

http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-1000ms.html
http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-2000ms.html

Same pattern, nothing to worry about.

NNUE doesn't change the diversity.

Re: Re-activation Programmer Code of Honor

I think that overzealous competition is the real problem here. I am sorry, I don't see a problem, men are competitive creatures that want to win and competition is what drives people to get the best out of themselves. And competition needs to be fair. Friendly competition is good. Cutthroat competi...

Re: Re-activation Programmer Code of Honor

There are no copyrights on tables of numbers. Therefore, they can't be stolen. And you can't steal an idea either, unless there is a patent. Stealing code with copyright violation is wrong. Reverse engineering can be a legal violation if done improplerly. But I do not think the chess programmers ha...

Re: NNUE variation

Here are some results -

http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-depth-1.html
http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-100ms.html
http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-250ms.html
http://rebel13.nl/dump/nnue-500ms.html

No serious similarity in sight, but rising due to increasing time control (strength), same pattern as pure AB engines.
