Re: Hiarcs is the best engine in blitz

It managed to become the new clear number one on my list. Note that my list is missing Rybka(commercial), Fritz 11, Loop and Deep Junior. It took away the top spot from the latest sensation Naum 3. As I have noticed Hiarcs isnt doing so well in other lists that doesnt use Own book or allow learning...

Re: Survey on Centaur Practices

I would want all engines that I list below to be 64bit Engines paired with a 64bit OS of course. 8-) Rybka 2.3.2a MP for Strength and Strategy Deep Shredder 11 for Positional Judgement and Endgame Play Zappa Mexico for speed in Tactical Analysis PS: Can I have Hiarcs 12MP on standby. Also pr...

Engine Analysis

I played a game of chess (15,3 Rated) online at playchess this past weekend. My opponent moved so fast I thought he might have been a cheater. Anyway, I prefer to give my opponents the benefit of any doubts I may have had and have learned to keep the blame and the focus on myself when it comes to my...

We can transform single thread to multithread: Intel

So you think parallel programming is a drag, huh? "Let us recompile your app to take advantage of all those cores", says Intel. Plus heaps of other juicy new stuff. “Our answer is CT: C stands for C++ based MPI and T stands for high throughput. So programmers can run C++ like scalar code, and our C...
