Re: Fruit 2.3 released

Thx :D While some of us have waited long for a new Fruit release, it seems now almost as we should get extra harddisk space to accomodate to the release-speed of new Fruit versions ;) Most users who download the versions of engines always use the updated latest version and delete the old ones irres...

My Thoughts on the debate

The World Rapidplay Debate has had me thinking. So not wanting to take sides and offend people here that I like overall. I will just say that I agree with some and not with others. I still like you guys even if I don't agree with you. That said ... I think the same amount of preparation that goes in...

Re: Hiarcs and the fear factor.....

I agree ... I feel that if it were not for Rybka, then Hiarcs 11.1 would be 1st above all other engines. Zap!Chess, and Loop would be left to fight over the 2nd place spot. 8-)

Re: What is Zappa Zanizbar??

Re: How to show Crafty's Current Thinking Move in Fritz 10

It is likely that Chessbase in producing the 20.14 in eng format did something to the code for it to support showing thinking time. Unless someone can also make the same change to 21.5, you might have to wait for Chessbase to release an eng version. That's more than likely correct. Thanks for the h...

Re: How to show Crafty's Current Thinking Move in Fritz 10

Does the 20.14 crafty version in eng format show the current move? Is that infinite analysis or is crafty 21.5 playing a game? The Crafty 20.14 that comes from Chessbase shows current thinking move. The version 21.5 came from craftychess.com and is a winboard engine, that's why I'm using wb2uci. No...

Re: Bf6!! difficult move....

I insist! If you have the time and can find out who played this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! It has been played before 5 days: [Event "Canadian Open"] [Site "Ottawa CAN"] [Date "2007.07.14"] [Round "9"] [White "Chanda Sandipan"] [Black "Sergei Tiviakov"] [Result "1-0"] [ECO "E17"] [WhiteElo "...

Re: What's the best move?

Ted, Nice game! I must admit that when I looked at the diagrammed position, I thought ...Rxh4 must be the move. I'm a hack/fish at chess though so that means very little! However when I fed the position to Glaurung-epsilon5, it eventually came up with this analysis (: Nc4 Rh1 Re8 Rad1 Rh5 Bxe3 e5 d...
