Re: Ji there Talkchess forum!

If the owners of ICD want to dictate what is allowable and what is not, that represents a huge problem because it is an obvious conflict of interest. Steve _never_ made any such attempts. There are flaws in your assumptions. The only thing "dictated" by ICD has been the prohibition of links to ille...

July moderator elections - new format

I have gotten approval from our sponsor to run the next election on a team basis. Here's the plan: any three members can get together and run as a team. Re: Goodbye Talkchess?

Lieber Sam Hull! Entschuldigen Sie mein schlechtes englisch.

Re: Goodbye Talkchess

Hi, I am finished with talkchess.com. The site administration and my co-moderator Graham Banks have made it impossible for me to continue as a moderator, and in a more extended sense, as a member of this community. Before I explain my reasons for leaving: I am starting a new, free, uncensored, (tho...

Re: Congratulations to the new moderators

Hi Jeremy You said it yourself. It is majority which decides... 2 vs 1, so not much he can do about it. If he does not like it, he can step down, and let you take over his place, as you come right after him...  Correct interpretation. In fact, our electoral campaign was made on that ba...

Re: Are you sick of the Ippo/Robbo spamming of CCC?

Only registered users can vote in polls so as to prevent spoofing of results. ok If you have registered and still cannot vote then you probably do not have appropriate access rights. And how do I get appropriate access rights? it probably has something to do with you only being a member here for 2 ...

Re: Explanation of the TCadmin account

Hi Quentin, Thank you for clearing up the intent of TCAdmin. Unfortunately Sam was working too hard as a simple software solution could filter the spam bots instead. Also despite the intent of the account abuse of power is an issue that needs to be watched for no mater who is in use of the account....
