Re: Help with Scorpio 3.0.8

It looks like you have an old installer file. The installer should automatically set "use_nn 1". Also, I see you have ID-48250 of lczero nets etc, so I believe you are editing scorpio.ini manually. First, try a clean install and you do not need to edit scorpio.ini at all, as it will take care of eve...

Re: 80th Amateur Series Division 4

Graham, can you use Scorpio NN on the CPU, instead of the mcts version without NN ? It has now become stronger than the AB version especially at the longer time control you use. The installation instructions are here and has now become quite easy. All you have to do is download install.bat and run i...

Re: Help with Scorpio 3.0.8

Btw, Scorpio on CPU using NN has become stronger than scorpio AB so you can still use NN on CPU.
It will install a 12b network when you only have a CPU.

Re: Help with Scorpio 3.0.8

Building from source the NN components is probably impossible for most people, need to downlaod tensorrt, tensorflow, cudnn etc and use esoteric build systems such as bazel from google. So yeah I don't recommend that! To get scorpio working without NN is easy however, by simply turning it off in sco...

Re: Is EMAN the future number one?

But Eman is not an engine. It is more like a plugin to a GUI.

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney May

For Daniel, I added an account for Scorpio and told you the initial password in the chatbox, I hope you noticed it.
Thanks, I got my password from there just now -- thankfully I did not close the window.

Re: Can somebody do simply this? By far the strongest engine!

I have a simple hybrid solution I use in Scorpio. For <= 20 pieces on board, AB is tried the first 30% of the search time. I use that to guide the following MCTS+NN towards whatever AB saw as good. This almost eliminates tactical blunders and I didn't need an engine at stockfish level for it to work...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney May

Is the server changed ? I am connected to by this command

Code: Select all

xboard -zp -ics -icshost winboard.nl -fcp "/home/daniel/Scorpio/bin/scorpio.sh" -fd "/home/daniel/Scorpio/bin" -autoKibitz
Ok I found the new link, but my account is not registered, so I can't shout or whisper.
Could someone fix that ?

Re: Does Ordo incorporate priors correctly?

How are you sure it is a bug not a feature :) Questions I have: a) Does Ordo even have the concept of priors/posterieors etc? You are talking as if it has it but AFAIk it is not based on bayesian approach. b) Does it take into consideration the color and draw ratio when calculating elos? a) Yes, Or...
