Re: Draw positions misevaluated by SF

A good idea, but not me, lyudmil should do that, to back up his claims about the endgames he constructed. This particular position is a "theoritical" endgame, i had only talked about this endgame. My suggestion therefore: 1) Classify the endgames according to lyudmils or useful principles. 2) Search...

Re: Draw positions misevaluated by SF

I agree that Qe5+ was not good. I do not agree that it leads to an easy draw and I believe that stockfish can probably win against many humans including GM's after Qe5+ LOL, not even close Uri, this is a rather simple draw for a title holder. Moreover engines typically completely mishandle that end...

Re: Draw positions misevaluated by SF

[d]8/p3b1k1/5pn1/4p1p1/P3P3/1BB2P2/6P1/6K1 w - - 0 1 This should be easily won for white. Really? I think i would play Bc5, Ne7-c8-d6 and then just move the king to the centre, waitong for the easy win of white, maybe forever... Excellent plan, but the problem is it is white's turn to move now and ...

Re: Draw positions misevaluated by SF

[d] 8/8/2bkp3/2p2p2/2P1n3/3K4/R3P3/4B3 b - - 0 1 The master has shown us a position, there the exchange for a pawn is somehow outwashed due to some side conditions. Please don't take this position as typical, this will backfire. Just think about what will happen, if white manage to exchange his bad ...

Re: Does any engine see this draw?

To draw the last position, white must reach sooner or later the setup Kf3,Ne2 or Ke2,Nf3. From then on, he moves only back and forth the knight, with a dead draw. or Kg2 No, i don't think so. You could then face blacks Ke4! or Kg4!, destroying your complete control over the squares e2,f3. There is ...

Re: Does any engine see this draw?

In this game, Gaviota got very lucky and drew it. Both engines thought black was winning, but they entered to draw.
