Re: maximal depth that stockfish changes its mind

to change "nothing" AND make the problem a "study" (or bettter sayed: a mate-problem) this position seems most adequate to my eyes (makes the move most surprising to my eyes): [D]qrb5/rk1p1K2/p2P4/Pp6/1N2n3/6p1/5nB1/6b1 w - - 0 1 again...Kg7!! (only move), mate 13 respect to the original author, he/...

Re: maximal depth that stockfish changes its mind

but its easy to correct this to a real study:
we put white king to h7 and the only move with mate in 13 is:
[D]qrb5/rk1p3K/p2P4/Pp6/1N2n3/6p1/5nB1/6b1 w - - 0 1
1.Kg7!! (only move) mate 13

Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

Re: interesting endgame in CCCC

hi Jon, after some back and forth SF-dev says 0.00 after 166.Kb6...seems like a draw eighter way !??...yes, SF says 168.Kb6?? is loosing and gives a draw-score after your suggested 168.Ka7!!(only move)...i have installed some 6-men-TB but not all...this is just a quick observation and not a deep ana...

Re: No chance

little update: after some further insight it seems to me that 10.Rh3! is not the only winning move after 9...Ne3 !? 10.Rh7 for example looks winning as well...eg coming back with the rook just later...what a misery...i just was not tenacious enough, forgive me friends :-) but we have clearence now a...

Re: No chance

McCain showed me the way :-) i can refute now the last chance for black to hold the draw after: [D]1r3rk1/5p2/1qb1pPpp/3pP1N1/p1pP4/PpP4R/1Pn1B2P/3RB2K w - - 0 9 9. Rxh6 Ne3 (this was the last move to hope for a draw) 10. Rh3! Nf5 (10. .. Nxd1 11. Bxd1 Rfd8 12. Bd2 Rd7 13. Kg2 Qc7 14. Kf2 +-) 11. Bf...
