Hello Ed,

I think it's a brilliant and revolutionary idea that will raise the strength of the programs in a significant amount.

Thanks for the contribution.

Re: TrappyBeowulf - A Beowulf mod to use [Trappy Minimax]

I am interested in testing TrappyBeoWulf and normal BeoWulf against the same opponent, but the zip file with Windows exe doesn't work on my systems. I have tried it on WinXP 64bits, WinXP 32 bits and Windows7 64bits. I don't know what the problem is? Maybe some file is missing? To compare the two ve...

Re: Prodeo loses on time

1 second average should work fine. Good luck with the match. Ed, thank you for the advice. One question, when you play 4 matches simultaneously in Arena and monitor the results with MATCH.EXE, ¿Do you need four different installations of the Arena program? I don't find other way to play 4 matches s...

Re: Prodeo loses on time

Ed, the problem is that I want to play a 100 games match between Gideon and Chess Genius.
As Chess Genius only works in his own GUI, I have managed to run Gideon in Genius GUI, but this GUI doesn't support Fischer clock.
I think I will choose a non blitz time control.

Best regards

Prodeo loses on time

I have been testing Prodeo 1.82, Rebel Century 2000 and Gideon Profesional 1993 engines, playing blitz games against other engines and they lost on time frequently. The games were played at 5 minutes per game and one minute per game in Fritz and Arena 3 so it seems the problem is not the gui. I want...

Re: Chessmachine Schroder twenty years later

Hi Javier, Your name rings a bell, am I mistaken? I think that I sent you this same photograph several years ago, also I wrote several articles in the spanish chess computer magazines ANACA and D4+, twenty years ago. [quote="I am not a collector of old stuff, I only have kept the last Archimedes so...
