Big difference in the evaluation between Stockfish 10 and Leela Chess Zero

A little over a year ago, nobody in this forum would have thought that any program or human would frequently defeat Stockfish positionally over the board. Its analysis power leaves no doubt of its first place among the computer programs. But the appearance of Alpha Zero and Leela Chess Zero has chan...

Re: Looking for TCEC and CCC games

TCEC - converted to normal PGN notation ( depth / score / time) only. Found a solution for it, just had to update my old PGN parser code from the previous century. Regarding the CCC1 and CCC2 tournament, nobody has the games? I have found the following links with lots of games: http://legacy-tcec.c...

Re: Does Leela Chess Zero analysis depend on the processor?

Quite probably it depends on the phase of the moon. AZ search would make a good random number generator. Miraculous that the threads and the parallelisation manage to work at all. but they do. Maybe Crem can explain the algorithm. You are right, the randomness in Lc0 is very large. Would it be poss...

Re: My non-OC RTX 2070 is very fast with Lc0

Here was my commandline: lc0-v20rc2.exe --cpuct=3.4 --backend=roundrobin --backend-opts="(backend=cudnn-fp16,gpu=0)" --minibatch-size=512 --weights=11250.pb --nncache=5000000 --threads=3 --smart-pruning-factor=0.000 Your election of parameters --cpuct=3.4 --smart-pruning-factor=0.000 is better than...

Re: Stockfish 10 Strikes Back

nice test, the other thing that stands out to me is test30s results vs test10. it's really remarkably close in strength if it's LR can be taken at more or less face value (only one drop so far). SF has reigned supreme in KIDs among AB engines for years but to completely flip the results would seem ...

You got RTX 2070 too? :)

I have read your recommendation on the best value for money for GPU and I could not resist. :D

Javier, what sort of nps ratios do these give?
At initial position GTX 2x 1060 about 6000-7000 nps

RTX 2070 about 20.000-30.000
