Gui's that annotate?

I enjoy reading Chess Life articles and books that contain annotated chess games. For a while now Fritz has had a feature to analyze and annotate a game but the annotation is pretty limited. Is there any software that does it better? I can't say I have noticed any improvement with Fritz. I am sure i...

I am hoping it isn't but I am not buying one until I see customers posting videos.

Re: Larry Kaufman

I used to LOVE the old Computer Chess Reports that Larry put together. That was back before the internet and it was the only way I could ever hear about current computer chess. I used to devour books on the subject and read the extremely rare chess life article, but it was the Computer Chess Reports...

Re: Banksia GUI released

Disregard, it works. I was being stupid and given it 10 minutes per move so I didn't think it was doing anything

Re: Banksia GUI released

Is it possible to setup a chess position and have two engines play against each other starting from that position? If not could you consider adding it? I would like to be able to give an old engine knight odds versus a newer engine. Thank you.. Yes and it’s just a quick setup. If you have that posi...

Re: Cray Blitz

Ok, well I figured out how to enter the moves but something seems out of whack. I had it play against the old Mephisto Amsterdam (simulator) on my PC and Cray Blitz just blundered one piece after the other. Cray Blitz played white, the moves were my move 1. d3 your move 1. ... d5 my move 2. Nh3 your...

Re: Cray Blitz

Anyone know how you enter the moves? No matter what way I enter it, it responds the move is illegal. It asks me if it should play white, no matter if I enter "Y" or "YES" it tells me it's my move. Then when I enter a move like d4 or d2-d4 it tells it's illegal. I also tried Nf3 but it said it was il...

Match between two engines from a given position?

Is there a gui that would allow me to setup a game between two engines from a given position? I know how to setup a position and select a single engine to analyze the position but I can't seem to figure out how to select two engines to play each other from that starting position. Thanks for any help..
