Re: asmFishW_2017-10-03_popcnt.exe update

Hi Lyudmil, The version of asmFish170825 (from the master branch) that I compiled with USE_BOOK = 1 does not do infinite analysis when it is within the book, unlike Houdini 6.02 that can recognize this situation and handle it. Yes, that's right. There was a discussion about it ( https://github.com/...

Re: asmFishW_2017-10-03_popcnt.exe update

When I open the asmFish configuration in Arena, I don't see a textbox where I could enter the path to a Polyglot (or any other) opening book. Where can I set it :?: I don't use Arena but Winboard as a GUI. In the engine setting of Winboard I get 2 places to set own book (one from the Polyglot adapt...

Re: asmFishW_2017-10-03_popcnt.exe update

Thanks!! Please add native support for Polyglot opening books, as in Houdini 6.02. I don't know how the new Houdini supports Polyglot books, but asmFish has native Polyglot book (.bin) support since its inception. When I open the asmFish configuration in Arena, I don't see a textbox where I ...

Re: FEOBOS v10 available ... first good version!!

:?: In the Contempt 1 .ctg book, how come after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Be7 the move 4. d4 is not an option?! Only 4. O-O and 4. d3 are considered. :(

Norm, +61 Elo in 9 months is a very impressive achievement, Fire surpassing Shredder for the 4th place handily!

Re: SPCC: Testrun of asmBrainFish 170825 finished

:?: What other GUIs, beside LittleBlitzerGUI, allow selection of the Polyglot version of Cerebellum_Light with asmFish? Or do I need a special compile of asmFish? Fritz appears to need the .ctg version of the opening book, Arena needs .abk, and Shredder takes opening books in its .bkt format. Who el...

Great news! Will test for the next FOSCEC, with hopes to make up for this year's embarrassing settings mishap.

Re: FEOBOS v10 available ... first good version!!

How can we modify FEOBOS v10 to make a .ctg that could be used for human game preparation and engine chess at InfinityChess? Hi Frank- Wow... I took a look at this book and your documentation, and I can't believe how much work you guys must have put into it. Thanks for the effort! I do have a couple...
