Re: FEOBOS v7 is available (book, databases ...)

How deep is the CTG? The file is kinda small, compared to Noomen.ctg.

Re: Cute Chess 1.0.0 released

Instead of doing a completely new client+server implementation, can you make your GUI compatible with Norman Schmidt's new CCCC, http://www.chesslogik.com/cccc , by any chance? Let me humbly request support for tournament broadcasting to the Web to make the tournaments viewable from the PC and mobil...

Re: FGRL 60 sec + 0.6 sec Rating list - Komodo 11.2

Hi Andreas, I am finding, preliminarily, that McBrain 2.6 is the strongest at LTC (120'+30" in my case), ahead of Komodo 11.01 and AsmFish 2017-07-09 (this test has been running for a while). May I humbly suggest that you schedule the latest McBrain for one of your longer time control tests, say, af...

Re: FGRL 10 min + 6 sec Rating list - Komodo 11.2

It is also quite possible that the openings are more drawish in some tests than in others. Komodo 11.01 vs Stockfish 8 : 45,8% 300 games Komodo 11.2 vs Stockfish 8 : 47,2% 300 games Komodo 11.01 vs Houdini 5 : 48,7% 300 games Komodo 11.2 vs Houdini 5 : 49,7% 300 game I see a progress here. I think i...

Re: School of Bullet Fish

These results cannot be meaningless. Indeed, each engine played 42 games in this tournament. And the number 42, as you may know, is the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything". :D There is nothing wrong with boundary testing. We take an edge case (100% CPU load), we t...

Re: School of Bullet Fish

There is nothing wrong with boundary testing. We take an edge case (100% CPU load), we test it. Some engines handle it more gracefully than others. There were no crashes in this tournament, mind you. .... You don't even understand why what you did is wrong. I guess there is no hope for a productive...

Re: School of Bullet Fish

It is even worse than that..... he is using 8 threads with ponder on... so god only knows what is going on with the two engines fighting over priority.... Exactly! This is a load that shows 100% of CPU utilization. Terrible. And this is how this extreme bullet contest ended. So, I suppose, it's God...
