Re: Banksia - Yet another Chess Tournament Manager

Hello! Interesting project. I could compile it with Visual Studio 2017. I made a quick test and here is what happened: C:\Roland\echecs\sources\banksia>banksia -jsonpath C:\Roland\echecs\sources\banksia\tour.json Banksia, Chess Tournament Manager, by Nguyen Pham - version 0.01 type: roundrobin, time...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney June

Well, for one you would need a registered account to participate. Guests can play, but not in an automated tourney, as the tournament manager wants to check their rating, which guests do not have. Then, even when you are logged on as a registered user, you would have to type a command to join the t...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney June

I tried to participate but apparently it didn't work. I could read discussion in chat window, but nothing else happened.

I hope I will have more success next time.

Re: Bottom CCRL 40/4

I was looking for Alouette 0.0.3, I'll replace it with Alouette-C. I am interested in engines that play as weak as possible but that win one with random moves. It is difficult to make an engine that plays weaker than ACE and POS! I do not recommend using Alouette 0.0.3, which has some bugs. Alouett...

Re: Bottom CCRL 40/4

Hello! I take this opportunity to point out that in the latest version of Alouette , there are three different engines, which are intended to replace the previous versions. "Alouette-A" is intended to replace Alouette 0.0.3, and "Alouette-B" is intended to replace Alouette 0.0.5. "Alouette-C" is rea...

Re: Anyone know of a way to download FR fens(chess960) by FR position number?

Hello! In case someone doesn't know, on this page there is a C source code by R. Scharnagl, that allows to generate a FRC position from its number. See also this discussion.

Alouette 0.0.7

Hello! Alouette 0.0.7 is available. Alouette-C (see my previous post) has been repaired and now the hierarchy between the three engines is what I expected. Rank Name Elo + - games score oppo. draws 1 Belofte 0.2.7 217 71 67 60 67% 88 10% 2 Alouette-C 0.0.7 201 61 59 60 69% 91 48% 3 Alouette-B 0.0.7 ...

Re: FRC / Chess960 -- Some Lessons I Learned

I'm always scared to push things like this, since something may break no matter how careful I am, but I plan to push this before Version 11.50. Hopefully if there are any bugs, they appear to me before the proper release of V11.50. If you would like to play around with the tentative FRC support, I ...

Re: Alouette 0.0.1

Instead of an option in a INI file, I decided to make three different engines, Alouette-A, Alouette-B and... Alouette-C. :) Maybe I will come back to the first idea, but for now I find more simple to have several executables. The idea is still to keep the different versions of the program. Alouette-...
