Re: Andscacs - New version

Well. If someone sees anything not translated, just tell me. I will translate immediately. From the start my objective was that all the people can understand what I publish, I’m pragmatic. I put all also in Catalan just because it’s my language. And yes, it’s the primary language in Andorra. And I d...

Re: Andscacs - New version

Andscacs - New version

Principal changes: * Added information of Nodes per second. * Added Static Exchange Evaluation for quiet moves, for depth > 2. * Some optimizations for speed gain. * Better orderin...

Re: testing procedure

It can be both dangerous and misleading. Suppose you add a complex evaluation term. Testing to fixed depth ignores the speed penalty the new term introduces, so all you see is the upside. But in real games, were time is measured, your program gets out-searched and loses badly. Sure. I was thinking ...

Re: Dinosaurs and Mammals

I think there are a lot of possibilities near us, just must be picked. But I understand that when there is a lot of information on anything, people tends to use it instead of thinking all from start by themselves. Andscacs is an example, where I was able to do a relative strong program with relative...
