Re: Komodo 10.3 released.

I think it is inappropriate at this time to announce to the world that "KOMODO RULES". All the rating lists show that it is only number 3 behind Stockfish and Houdini. It is a shame if you insist to include that Komodo rules in every post you make. You can only do it when you have proof. First of a...

Re: Komodo 10.3 released.

Komodo 10.3 has been released at komodochess.com. It appears to be our largest elo gain since the subscription model was begun. We estimate the elo gain at 2' + 1" to be about 30 points after about 10,000 games against Komodo 10.2 on one thread (Windows version), and due to mp improvement the gain ...

Re: How i s Komodo getting on? (now, end of December 2016)

I am impatiently waiting for my Christmas present, HoHoHo Didn't they just release K 10.2 in late october? Do you think almost two months is enough time for a good improvement? Did Mark or Larry say they will release a version around christmas? That would be great of course, but I didn't think they...

Re: To Mark Lefler

Hi Mark, It's been two months since Komodo 10.1 was released. Just wondering if you and Larry have plans to set a date like after the rapid tournament is done? Or before it finishes? Or does it not have enough elo in single processor mode yet? I'm patient, but just thought I'd ask because Larry sai...

Re: Komodo Contempt for handicap play

I decided to do a test to determine the proper setting of Contempt and its elo value when giving knight odds (b1). In normal chess the default Contempt = 10 is just worth a few elo points when playing weaker but top ten engines, but for handicap play a much higher setting is appropriate. I did the ...
