Re: On-line engine blitz tourney January

WaDuuttie lost his first game (against Kingslayer) because I could not switch of a follow-command. At that time noone could reproduce the problem. Now I know what happened: I used namecompletion to add an engine to my followlist (eg. "follow rpis" to add rpiStockfish). Now giving the command "follow...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney January

It seems Fizbo wants to repeat winning opening lines. In the october 2016 tournament WaDuuttie (with white) lost badly against Fizbo from ths position: [d]2r2rk1/2q1bp1p/p3b1P1/N3p1P1/p7/P3BP2/1PPQ3R/1K1R4 w - - 0 24 He then continued with Rdh1 but could not find the right plan. The same position wa...

Re: pawn hash

WaDuuttie was playing with winboard log on. The last lines before the crash: 2035524 >first : usermove 2035525 >first : g6h6 nps: w=-1, b=-1 Display title 'WaDuuttie (17) vs. Rodin (1) {5 1}, gameInfo.variant = 0' 2035607 <first : move c7h7 >ICS: c7h7\012 >ICS: kibitz !!! +...

Re: Chessmaster v Christiansen test position (2002)

Perhaps Larry saw something that the engines didn't, it would have been cool if Larry had demonstrated the win after 53...Rg3 for further scrutiny. Seems Larry analyzed the game in CM10k Academy (see this page on chessgames.com ). These lines are quoted there: <He gives 53...Rg3 a ! If 55.Rf3 Rh5 5...

Re: Chessmaster v Christiansen test position (2002)

I've dug this one up a few times since it was played almost fourteen years ago, and I don't think any engine definitively answered the question one way or another. It's been a few years since I last posted it, so I guess it's about time again.... This is a position from round 3 of Chessmaster vs. G...

Re: On-line engine blitz tourney August

It seems (even) Komodo needs considerable depth to to see this. Pretty impressive if ArasanX finds it in a 5'+1" blitz game!
