Re: Which is the best Arena book to use with Rybka ?

.. descisions about strength cannot be answered by opinion. These things are answered by facts. This is not a decision about strength. It is a poll about opinions . Opinions of very respected, chess enthusiastic people from all over the world which I think their opinions, to me, is the next best th...

Re: Which is the best general purpose Arena (abk format) Boo

I can't see how anyone can vote for the Rybka.abk book in this poll because my understanding is that it's an engine specific book as opposed to a general purpose book. Therefore it's unfair to include it in this poll. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps if there was a poll on which was the best...

Re: Which is the best general purpose Arena (abk format) Boo

The version that is available for download at the Arena website is very much outdated. I would suggest to build a more recent version out of my pgn collection (that can be found on my website). Olivier Thanks Olivier. Sadly it seems as though your book is not the only outdated version available for...

Re: Which is the best general purpose Arena (abk format) Boo

Hi Graham, HS-Book.abk is a final version and not a beta (as Christopher want to make it believe between the lines) Is always the best final version available. Mainbook profits, thereafter, from the work done with the HS-Book.abk . If we stop the work with HS-Book.abk , Mainbook will not have any m...

Re: Which is the best general purpose Arena (abk format) Boo

So far the lead is held by Olivier...much to his surprise (but not mine). Close second is Mainbook by Harry. Hi Chris, my understanding is that the HS-Book.abk is the mainbook (just new name)? Is Olivier's book available from the Arena site? If so, I'll give it a go in my next Arena tournament. Reg...
