It's also important to acknowledge that normal chess is also an variant. The original ancient version is the true chess game. But may not appear so to present day people.

Are you sure that 4 threads is better that 2 threads for Leela?

2 is the default and on my system it use 1.5 core.

Ovyron: that's quite puristic view of chess as a whole. Chess players are a strange bunch. Complaining nobody understands us, while at the same time we are very disapproving of any different way of having fun with the game. In that line black got three pawns for the piece, but more often than not; minor piece is better than three pawns. all other things being equal.

I really wish that you can take a short break from CCRL testing and launch an ponder on match. It doesn't have to be long though. That will be exiting. Please don't tell that CCRL has monopoly on all your CPU resources.

Is the machine going to be dedicated to engine games or mix of analysis and engine game. If the first is the case then two identical machines for making ponder beneficial is wonderful.
