A couple high end engines missing {e.g. Shredder}, but it appears Arasan on high end hardware is somewhere around 20th strongest in the world.
Assuming it doesn't crash.

Re: Cursed win at TCEC

None of the TCEC openings I've observed so far are dubious or crazily skewed. They are complex with no opportunity to trade into a boring endgame straight out of the gate.

Re: Fire 5 is out!

A consistent naming convention for UCI options makes sense to me. Fire 4 used to have TBPath and has now adjusted it to SyzygyPath to be in line with every other Syzygy capable engine I know about.

Re: Cursed win at TCEC

The problem isn't the rules, but that no tournament manager supports adjudication via Syzygy. The purpose of adjudication is to shorten the game length. The adjudication isn't meant to circumvent the standard rules of chess but apply them in a way to automatically create a result so we don't have to...

Re: Cursed win at TCEC

TCEC rules state: Cutechess will also adjudicate 5-men or less tablebase endgame positions automatically. Is Cutechess using Syzygy? Then it should know it's a draw. If it's using Nalimov tablebases it should be adjudicated manually. The programs know it's a draw and one of them may have counted on...

Re: Cursed win at TCEC

It should be changed to a draw. Not much discussion needed. Indeed. Is the TD aware of the situation? Martin is aware but not sure Anton is. Martin just said the result would stand because rules are rules. I don't think they intended for this to happen though. If true and they stick by their "rules...

Re: What about Gull?

The only one missing is Gull. Recently LazySMP was added to Gullzygy, see here: https://github.com/basil00/Gull . This translated to a huge elo gain (+60) on the Linux version, but less so for Windows -- although it has not been properly tested yet. An exciting news! However, the official alpha 3 b...

IPON made a test of default contempt/contempt 0 v SF7 and it made a difference of +6% for the non-contempt SF.
